Our Philosophy
Furlong Energy Solutions maintains a very rigorous philisophy about the way we run our business and develop our products. We are first committed to developing sustainable technologies that will lessen our dependence on energy that is detrimental to the well-being of our Earth. However, we realize that it doesn't matter how green our technology is if it isn't appealing to customers. There needs to be more than a beckoning to "do the right thing for the planet" for the majority of the consumer world to switch over to green energy.
That's why our second commitment of our philosophy is to ensure that our products are intrinsically beneficial to our customers: products that will above all else improve quality of life. We want green technology to be the better option for consumers in all facets
In short, we want to make fossil fuels obsolete by making novel green technologies that give practical solutions to everyday problems. Between our own discoveries and our open source patent policy, we hope to foster a generation of new businesses that produce green technologies that can simply out-compete archaic technologies.

Meet the Executive Team
Matthew Levesque
Vice-Founder and Director of Technology
I have spent the majority of my post-doctorate research studying nanoelectronics with an emphasis in photovoltaics, and created our patented PPVS cell, which is used in the FLOWER. FES is proud to have the most efficient charge extraction rate of any lightweight solar cell on the market and we strive to improve while maintaining cost efficiency.
Ariya Beitollahi
Director of Research and Development
With over 10 years of experience in the fields of solar and geothermal energy, I ensure that FES is creating products that address the short term and long term energy issues that are key to our progress towards sustainability in a tangible and affordable way for all consumers. Research in development is how we turn our philisophy and our dreams into reality.
Jordan Furlong
Founder, CEO
I'm founded FES in 2015 after recieving my PhD in Material Science from U Mass Amherst. During my research, I found several ways in which polymers were cost-effective altenatives to metals and decided to apply that to my passion of finding sustainable technologies for the future by founding FES.
Harrison Yang
Director of Manufacturing
I recieved two BS degrees in NanoEngineering and Physics from UCSD, as well as a PhD in Process Design from Cal Tech. Designing and maintaining efficient manufacturing process is key to product quality. I oversee our manufacturing facility in Escondido, CA to ensure that every piece of every product meets out rigorous quality standards.
Ashley Quan
Director of Internal Operations
I recieved my MBA from UCSD's Rady School of Management, and joined FES because it is a company that also innovates internally. I oversee our modern matrix-style company structure that gives our employees more opportunities in leadership, rather than be confined to a hierarchal system.
Joseph Lin
Director of External Operations
I have a BS in Industrial Design fron SJSU and have been designing marketing strageties for over a decade. My goal at FES is to fashion products that are geared toward the 21st century. I also aim to expand the influence of FES's philosophy through collaboration with other companies, academic socieites. as well as non-profits.
